Just got a new trailer and now and the horrendous amount of time it takes to raise and lower the jack. LK said there's adapters but I went ahead and rig something up cheap and easy. I looked for a deepwell socket that I had extras for in that size, drilled two 1/4" holes in it and around 1/2" up.. Mine was a 13 mm, 6 pt chrome/vanadium socket. Took forever to drill that hardened steel so I took it to work and the tooling guys got her drilled out easily. A little filing the burrs off the inside but she works perfectly over the 3/8" shaft. Now I can raise and lower the jack in seconds.
A cheap deep impact socket may be easier to drill.
$1 can get you odd deepwell at flea markets,2 stainless washers 1/4",and the use of the original bolt, nut, and washer.I already had the 1/4" drill to 3/8" socket adapter.
