I will try to put some more educational things on this thread soon.
Please post up any knowledge you KNOW (be sure it is correct first) that is helpfull to not only waterfowl identification, but Species information, or technical information (canada geese, not canadian...etc) We just may be able to educate eachother a little here.

Anybody can waterswat. You want to shoot em in the face when they're locked up and have their flaps down. That's when you need to know what you're shootin. You can only shoot one can a day and two bluebills.

There is a pocket mannual which I got my second season which really helps. I think it's called the LeMaster's Pocket Guide to Identifing Waterfowl. It is a great tool to have in the field and it's fun to look through when shooting is slow. I still keep it in the boat incase I shoot a duck I can't ID.
