I want to get into shrooming this year. When should I start looking and what should I start looking for Lol Very Happy

Another way is to hook up with someone. I also highly recomend getting a mushroom book. I picked up one years ago and I carry it while turkey hunting, hicking or while taking the kids out to the local park. I have found some shrooms that I would have never tried if it were not for the book. There are these red ones that I can find during late season turkey hunting. Oh my are they great on steak or in a fresh salad. Get one with good pictures and marks for edible and killer shrooms.

Word of caution: if you are not sure about it do not eat it.

Just enjoying the preparation.
