has anyone kept a journal of winter weather correlating to good morel hunting ??? I have noticed in times where we have had cold and snow (like now!!!) that if spring comes on slowly and then blooms out normally that morel hunting is usually pretty darn good. The only exception was last year where mushroom season was one week long !!!!!

Have not kept a journal on weather conditions corolating to hard or soft winters. That would be interesting thing to do. Kind of like my fishing log.
Just enjoying the preparation.
