For sale is a 1964 Savage Anschutz 141M 22 magnum that I don't/can't use.|
It is in real nice overall shape, blueing good - no rust anywhere. Minor stock handeling marks with exception of minor scratches that should buff out in fore end tip (don't show good in pictures). There is one small (3/8- 1/2") mark on side of dark foreend tip near minor scrathes (came to me this way).
It also includes a like new in box with all papers Leupold VX-1 2x7x33 with gloss finish and a Millet ring set that I set on it for the pictures.
I see no activity, so I'll offer some options.
I will sell rifle alone without any scope, or the Leupold 2x7x33, or I could sell it with a VARI-X Compact that's a 3x9x33.
I can also offer diffrent rings than the Millets - Burris? Redfield? quality 22 for the groved reciever, or even old Weavers.
This rifle came to me with a "period correct" Weaver scope and ring set, which was OK back in the 60's but no where near the quality of the Leupolds I have. I gave the Weaver steel tube K scope to a friend for a cheap 22 he has, and bought the Leupold 2x7. I already had the 3x9 Compact sitting here.
Now for a little value/interest reference I'll offer a link to simmilar set up with cheap "period" scope, and not even complete (granted- the stock is a bit nicer) but this one's been molested- try to find a rear sight and you would be surprised at the cost if you find one Link : http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=122191302
This sold immediate, and another with no scope sold with 15 bids and a price about $100 less than I offer mine for with the Leupold 2x7, that is new and cost $229.
I try to sell on an in state site like this one to give buyers the oppertunity to be able to do FTF to ensure they're happy, but if people arn't interested I could move it over to a national site, where I think it would get some quick interest.
Last weekend I sold my Beretta turkey gun to someone from this board FTF, and he seemed happy. Do a search for Beretta Pintail or my user name and you can see that add, I will not disclose the buyer(that's his business) but I'm sure he could be contacted for a reference.
I have a few others and related equipment that I consider selling (Super Blackhawk 44, a couple of Rem. classics 220 Swift and 257 Roberts because it's all I can do just to walk now days, but I'm not hurting for the money and selling at bargin basement prices).
I may also list some custom long rang varmit rigs- one a 500 Yd. 220 Swift 30 Deg. Imp., and a 1000 yd. 25 cal. wildcat that moves a Nosler 100 BT at 3850 FPS- if I can bring myself to part with them.
It's hell to give up a sport you love!
Bipod in pictures is NOT included with Savage Anschutz.
Price is $725.
